Behaviour
At Greenacres, we have high expectations for behaviour in both children, adults and visitors.
Our children are awarded house points for 'over and above' work, critical thinking, excellent behaviour and displays of kindness towards others. Each week, the Year 6 house captains count up the house points from across the school and the house with the most points wins the cup. At the end of each term, the house with the most points overall wins a special treat!
If children don't follow our rules, we use a positive approach and have an honest discussion with the child. We have no-shout policy and usually a quick conversation can correct unwanted behaviours. However, if the unwanted behaviours persist or behaviour becomes problematic, we have a series of sanctions that are implemented fairly and consistently.
